Nature Tales (Coming soon)

WILD Jersey will soon offer a series of literature-based nature programs. Each NATURE TALE program will link a well-loved children’s book to a nature talk, using artifacts and live specimens, when possible. Not just a book reading, NATURE TALES are storytelling with props, puppets, or audience participation.

General Program Information

Most programs include a nature talk and a make ‘n take activity. K-2 programs are 45 to 60 minutes, and grade 3-6 programs are 60 to 90 minutes. Group size is limited to 20 children.

Most program descriptions include a recommended time of year for scheduling. However, in some cases a program can be scheduled during other seasons. If you are interested in scheduling a program for a specific time not included in the description, please ask.

Fees

All fees are listed with the program description. The program fee is listed first. The additional cost per child (if any) is a materials fee for the make ‘n take activity.

A half hour outdoor nature walk can be added to any program for an additional fee of $25. For all programs, a $15 travel fee will be added per travel day when the program location is more than 30 miles from the WILD Jersey office.

A written quotation can be provided for any program request to assist you in preparing a purchase order. Full payment is due on the day of the scheduled program.

Naturalist-in-Residence

The NATURALIST-IN-RESIDENCE option is a cost-effective way to bring WILD Jersey programs to your library throughout the year. Schedule six or more programs and receive a 5% discount on program fees when paying in advance. Discount applies to program fees only (not to materials costs or travel fees).
