K-6 Field Trips
 
Seining Trips Sample aquatic life using seine nets along the shore. Chest waders, seine nets, ID cards, and expert guidance are all included. Seining trips can be arranged for most public sites (Sandy Hook, Island Beach State Park, etc.) with a suitable shoreline.

Cost: $200 for 2 hours/ up to 30 children
Add $50 for each additional hour of instruction

 
Beach & Marsh Walks Explore the Jersey Shore marsh and ocean ecosystems. We’ll take a guided walk of the beach zones, find out why dunes are important, and collect samples of univalve, bivalve, and crustaceans shells.
 

Cost: $150 for 2 hours/up to 40 children
Add $50 for each additional hour of instruction

 
Forest Hikes Take a guided trek through the forest to ID trees, look for birds, and see what lives under fallen logs. Student hikers are provided binoculars, tree guides, magnifiers and microscopes, and other hands-on supplies.
 

Cost: $150 for 2 hours/up to 25 children
